Maidstone, Kent

Addiction counselling and therapy for Maidstone

Twenty minutes west on the A20, or a direct train — and free parking either way.

Getting here from Maidstone

Borough Green is roughly twenty minutes west of Maidstone along the A20, or via the M20 and M26 depending on traffic and where in the town you start.

There is also a direct train: Maidstone East and Borough Green & Wrotham are on the same line, and the station is a short walk from the room.

Who I see from Maidstone

Maidstone is the largest town in this part of Kent and has a reasonable supply of counselling, so the people who come west are usually looking for something particular: ACT rather than general integrative counselling, or specialist addiction work, or — quite often — simply somewhere that is not in the town where they live and work.

That last reason is more common than people expect, and it is a perfectly good one.

Coming by train

Worth flagging because it is unusually convenient. Maidstone East is on the same Maidstone East line as Borough Green & Wrotham, and the station here is a short walk from the room. If you already use that line, an appointment involves no driving and no parking at all.

What I work with

The approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, supported by CBT where a specific belief or behavioural loop needs breaking.
