Getting here from Kemsing

Kemsing sits under the North Downs escarpment a few miles west of Borough Green. The drive along the lanes and the A25 takes roughly ten to twelve minutes depending on the route you take.

Kemsing has its own station on the same line, so if you commute you may find it easier to come by train — Borough Green & Wrotham is a couple of stops along and a short walk from the room.

Who I see from Kemsing

Kemsing is a village of a few thousand people between Otford and Wrotham, and most people here look naturally towards Sevenoaks for services. That is a reasonable instinct, but Sevenoaks means parking, and for a weekly appointment the parking is what wears people down.

Borough Green is a similar distance in the other direction with free parking at the door. For anything requiring regular attendance — and addiction work in particular does — that difference adds up over three months.

Coming by train

Kemsing, Otford and Borough Green & Wrotham all sit on the Maidstone East line, which runs from London Victoria out through Otford and on towards West Malling and Maidstone. If you already commute on it, an appointment on the way through involves no driving at all — which some people find makes the difference between going and not.
